Semifinals

YULA 66 Hillel 64 OT

Alex Gabbay had 21 points and Josh Pachter and Jaden Azeroul added 13 each to lead the Panthers (7-1). Eli Braha scored 28 for the Heat (5-2) and Bruce Epstein and Leyed Teren added 11 each but Hillel was undone by 1-for-8 free throw shooting in the extra session.

DRS 44 TABC 43

Joe Aaron scored 19 points and the Wildcats (10-1) won their ninth straight game despite nearly blowing a 12-point 4th quarter lead. Eyal Kinderlehrer had 16 points for the Storm (5-2), Akiva Borgen added 13 and Yonatan Faber had 11.

Consolation

Katz YHS 55 North Shore H.A. 52

Haim Elmakies, Elan Harris and Nir Ovaknin each scored 10 points as the Storm (2-1) rallied from 13 down. Eli Bokhour paced the Lions (2-5) with 21 points, Phil Cohen added 13 and Andrew Kohanim had 10.

Magen David 51 H.A. Montreal 48

Josh Chabbott led the Warriors (6-4) with 22 points and Solly Hara added 11. Simon Alloul scored 13 points for the Heat (2-2) and Isaac Cons and Yacov Ohayon added 12 each.

Tier 2

Semifinals

Posnack JDS 73 HAFTR 52

Gideon Greenberg scored 27 points and Jonathan Rhein added 26 as the Rams (2-1) pulled away in the 4th to secure a shot at the Tier 2 title.

MTA 77 Valley Torah 42

Jake Abenaim scored 20 points and Josh Treuhaft added 18 as the Lions (4-1) jumped out to a big 1st quarter lead and were never threatened.

Consolation

Jewish Day School 61 Maimonides 31

Cyrus Blumenthal scored 22 points and D Shank added 15 as the Lions (1-2) overcame a slow start to pull away from the M-Cats (0-3).

Cooper Memphis 50 Beren Houston 43

Benny Freiden and Jack Kampf scored 15 points each and the Macs (3-3) overcame a 31-point performance by the Stars’ Rafi Miller.

YULA 75 Katz YHS 59

Yoni Holender scored 35 points and Alex Gabbay added 17 as the top-seeded Panthers (6-1) advanced to the semifinals. Nir Ovaknin led the Storm (1-1) with 16 points and Jacob Cik and Haim Elmakies added 10 each.

DRS 78 H.A. Montreal 56

Josh Aaron had 23 points and Adir Sacknovitz and Tzvi Tsaidi added 20 each to lead the Wildcats (9-1) to their 8th straight win. Isaac Cons led the Heat (2-1) with 16 points, Yacov Ohayon added 16 and Simon Alloul had 11.

TABC 61 Magen David 52 OT

Eyal Kinderlehrer had 27 points and 19 rebounds, Dovid Saks added 15 points, including 5 in overtime and Akiva Borgen scored 12 points as the Storm (5-1) overcame losing a big 1st half lead. Josh Chabbott led the Warriors (5-4) with 25 points.

Hillel 63 North Shore H.A. 49

Eli Braha scored 24 points and Bobby Sigoura added 12 to lead the Heat (5-1) to their third straight win. Elo Bokhour led the Lions (2-4) with 13 points and Andrew Kohanim and Phil Cohen added 12 each.

Tier 2

Posnack Jewish Day 62 Maimonides 31

Gideon Greenberg led the Rams (1-1) with 28 points. Danny Massaghi had 9 points for the M-Cats (0-2).

Valley Torah 75 Cooper Memphis 43

Meir Dan led the Wolfpack (1-1) with 16 points and Dvir Assayag-Raham added 11. Jonah Siegel had 13 points for the Macs (2-3).

MTA 78 Beren Houston 36

Jackie Abenaim and Efraim Avramov led a balanced attack for the Lions (4-1) with 14 points each and Yishai Neiss added 12. Rafi Miller scored 18 points for the Stars (1-2).

HAFTR 54 Jewish Day School 46

Ness Salem scored 31 points to lead the Hawks (4-5). Cyrus Blumenthal paced the Lions with 19 points.

Alex Gabbay scored 17 points and Yoni Holender added 14 to lead the Panthers (5-1). Rafi Miller scored 25 points for the Stars (1-1).

Mikey Freund scored 14 points and Joe Aaron had 11 as the Wildcats (8-1) won their seventh straight game. Jack Kampf had 9 points for the Macs (2-2).

#3 TABC 54 #14 Jewish Day School 40

Yonah Mandel scored all 17 of his points in the first half as the Storm (4-1) raced out to a big lead. Eyal Kinderlehrer added 10 points for TABC and Cyrus Blumenthal paced the Lions with 16 points in their first game of the season.

#4 Hillel 73 #13 MTA 40

Eli Braha scored 27 points, Joey Kassin added 15 and Leyad Teren had 10 points and 12 rebounds for the Heat (4-1). Efraim Avramov led the Lions (3-1) with 8 points.

#12 North Shore H.A. 48 #5 Valley Torah 39

The Lions (2-3) forced a halftime tie by scoring the final seven points of the second quarter, stayed with the Wolfpack in the 3rd and early in the 4th and then scored 12 of the game’s final 14 points. Eli Bokhour and Andrew Kohanim each scored 12 points for North Shore. Ben Mahgarefteh led the Wolfpack (0-1) with 14 points.

#6 Magen David 75 #11 Posnack Jewish Day 54

Josh Chabbott scored 22 points, Max Abed added 16 and the Warriors dominated the 4th quarter after the Rams had rallied from double digits down. Jonathan Rhein scored 28 points for Posnack in their season opener..

#7 H.A. Montreal 52 #10 HAFTR 37

Simon Alloul scored 21 points and Yaakov Ohayon added 11 to lead the Heat (2-0). Ness Salem had 11 points for the Hawks (3-5).

#8 Katz YHS 62 #9 Maimonides 16

Haim Elmakies scored 12 points and the Storm rolled as the M-Cats failed to score until midway through the 3rd period.

MIDATLANTIC

St. Paul’s 77 Beth Tfiloh 27

The Warriors dropped their season opener.

Jewish Culture 59 LaSalle 58

Jonathan Hazan scored 16 points, Shilo Kahan added 14 and Isaac Grossman had 10 as the #20 Lions (4-3) won their third straight game.

Atlanta Classical 80 Atlanta Jewish Academy 64

The Jaguars (1-1) led most of the first half but fell despite 39 points from Zac Agichtein.

Chamblee 81 Weber Atlanta 22

The Rams are 0-2.

YESHIVA LEAGUE

SAR 73 Ohr Yisroel 44

Matteas Ellis’ 21 points led four players in double figures for the #4 Sting (3-0; 10-2), who jumped out to a 26-9 lead and were never threatened. Sam Weiss added 14 points, Caleb Eden had 11 and Ari Halpert scored 10. Ezra Stern led the Flames (1-1) with 24 points.

Ramaz 42 Heschel 24

Nate Sugar scored 14 points to lead the #11 Rams (2-0; 7-3). Jordan Cohen-Mintz had 18 points for the Heat (1-2).

YDE 80 Magen Abraham 37

The #24 Thunder (3-0; 4-2) won their third straight game.

Flatbush 67 Rambam 45

Falcons now 3-0 in the league, 5-4 overall. Ravens drop to 2-1 and 2-3.

Berman H.A. 62 Sandy Spring Friends 39

Ayla Offer’s 25 points led four players in double figures as the Cougars (1-4) won their league opener. Dana Lazar added 15 points and Adi Topolosky and Nitzahn Epstein each added 10 and Epstein also grabbed 14 rebounds. Game was close through the first two quarters but the Cougars pulled away with a 29-4 run in the 2nd half.

Atlanta Classical def Atlanta Jewish Academy

Jaguars fell to 0-2.
